Johannesburg, February 2018 – BitCo Telecoms, a National Telecommunications Provider renowned for their Business Fibre Internet, Wireless Internet and VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) services throughout South Africa, has been named as Cricket South Africa (CSA) and the Proteas official Internet Service Provider for the next five years.
BitCo’s large Fibre network and national coverage will be providing Fibre Internet and VoIP services to all sixteen Cricket stadiums across the country as well as the CSA’s headquarters in Melrose, Johannesburg and The Centre of Excellence in Hatfield, Pretoria.
Their services have been future proofed for advanced stadium technologies that are expected in the next few years. This allows for extremely fast internet and data transfer speeds.
CSA was in search of an Internet Service Provider that could offer dynamic, tailored, customisable and reliable services at an affordable rate.
CSA acting CEO, Thabang Moroe says, “We required a Provider that understands the true value of partnerships and that would meet all our expectations with service and support. Partnering with BitCo, CSA will also see a significant reduction on all call costs by approximately 40% – 50%.”
This marks the beginning of a new journey for one of South Africa’s leading Internet Service Providers. This is BitCo’s first major national sport sponsorship. BitCo’s Marketing Manager, Greg Sellars says, “We are proud to be the first official Internet Service Provider to CSA and the Proteas. It is a privilege to be one of their providers and form part of one of South Africa’s established and most loved sports.”
